9/12/2023 0 Comments Omori gameplayMake guard an extra fifth skill that you always have and can't de-equip since it seems weird that you lose the ability to guard in favor of other skills. Giving the basic attack more of a use late game as your juice increases and makes skills more of the focus in combat, making the basic attack kinda useless even if it's damage does increase during the course of the game. TL DR Basically balance it more and make it matter more by making enemies use it more often integrating emotion changes into attacks. Now, yes, it makes it riskier since attacks are more probable to miss, but the 10/20/30% less to HITRATE is completely made up and more with an extra 125/150/200% SPEED, and that's not adding the 200/300/400% LUCK! It's so incredibly strong, that unless it's for some specific reason you should always try to be happy(inspirational quote). Sad stands in the middle, being pretty useful but not too strong, and then there's happy. The added ATTACK is nice(130/150/200%), but the reduction of DEFENSE is SO big(50/30/15%) that you'll just get destroyed immediatly. Angry is the only emotion I almost never see anyone use with the exception of angry aubrey headbutt, and even then it's always in the early. Make Happy less stronk, and make angry more. Otherwise, if they ARE gonna just change emotions, make it affect the whole squad, or make himself a counter emotion to add to the situation.Ģ. Add more ways for emotions to be changed by enemies, preferably attacks that change them so that they don't lose a whole turn just changing an emotion. I feel like there are two main changes I would make to make it more core:ġ. And from what I have seen, if you don't find out this strategies, you'll end up finding others which you are gonna use the same way, ending up in it being repetitive. But it fails to do so, because in 90% you end up doing the same strategy with the tools you have, be it early game where I just made OMORI sad so he could stab better, or be it mid-late game where I just made Kel-nukes. What you said about it not feeling core is what I mean! It feels like it should be a core mechanic since enemies randomly appear in different emotions, and there's lots of ways to manipulate them, and the whole emotion chart can really increase your DPS. (Okay I didn’t finish lol I couldn’t do everything-)įorgot about Unbread Twins honestly, they do use the mechanic. Hero: Kel, you should probably give a heads up…Īubrey: …Omori… hug (It crushes me to see him like this…)Īubrey: (He still looks cute when he’s angry…) Kel: I didn’t mean for it Aubrey… sorry Omori… Kel: (Aw… I don’t like seeing Omori being sad…) Kel: (Ah now I see why he doesn’t smile that often-)Īubrey: Omori… you need someone to cheer you up? Hero: (…never saw Omori smile like… THAT before.) Kel: Uhhhh Omori? I think you’re getting a little too happy… Kel: WOOOOOO there’s some positive energy!Īubrey: Your smile is still nice… a little strange… I don’t mind it much… Any post deemed low effort will be taken down.Do not steal others' work without permission when posting content.Meta posts are allowed as long as they don't spark controversy.Posts that do not directly include OMORI content or OMORI-inspired content are off-topic and violate this rule. All posts must be directly relevant to OMORI.Don't include spoilers in post titles either, these will be removed.
